Kia Orana!
As Pathways, Team Leader part of my role is to oversee the Learning Shop. I am delighted to continue to share how The Learning Shop is a wonderful educational, community facility open five days a week. Here at the Learning Shop you can access free information on a variety of educational pathways, community courses, employment options as well as career guidance from our careers trained team. Computers are also available for writing or updating your own CV or for job searching.
Porirua is my home and honoured to be part of this community since 1966. I have worked in education and the public sector with my strengths being community relationships and a passion for working with multicultural and disadvantaged groups to be able to make a difference.
My diverse employment background (paid and unpaid) demonstrates skills in teaching particularly youths, administration, marketing, banking sector, community liaising and coaching sport. I have worked in various offices as an administrator/marketer, taught and worked in tertiary education for the last 28 years, coached secondary school, premier level and representative netball for 30 years and have done and continue to do what I do, with passion and enthusiasm!
